5/6/00: Two Weeks in Silicon Valley

As part of my initial training for Clarify / Nortel Networks, I spent a couple of weeks at our San Jose headquarters for training. Maria came to visit over the weekend in between classes and this is a chronicle of the things we did and saw. Keep in mind that this was all done in two days.

My reason for being in the Bay Area was that I had two weeks of training to "enjoy".

Here are some of the rare moments. :-O

Part II - Maria flew out for the weekend and we took in a lot of the sights. Weekend Day One was in S.F. and Marin County.

 Part of our first day was a visit to the Hagiwara Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. This is one of my favorite places on the entire planet (even though the Bhudda statue was out for repair!), so I decided to break out this section of images separate from the rest of Day One.

Part III - Weekend: Day Two finds us in Big Basin State Park in Santa Cruz County and then Monterey and Carmel.

While the two weeks away was a pain, the weekend fun was a nice diversion.
