We finally made a nice trip back to
visit Maria's brothers in New Hampshire. Three of the four brothers now live within about
5 miles of each other in the area south of Hanover. |
| After a lovely buying spree at EMS in White River Junction, we headed to Mt. Ascutney to try out some new gear. | |
This is the view from Brownsville Rock, I think that tiny town below is Brownsville. |
| It was a tough hike, but worth it. | |
Maria took Paul part way. I was dying. |
| Here's the view from the front of Skip and Sue's house. |

| This is from Skip's front porch. | |
Next morning we headed out for a walk. |
| This is John Schell's new house as seen from just above Skip's long driveway. The houses are just out of sight of each other. | |
Maria heading off. |
| This one reminds me of Frost's Stopping by Woods |
To wrap up our time with the brothers, That bridge is several hundred |
| The hike down is not bad. It's a constant grade path with
crushed stone. No trouble even for kids. Here's Tom and Christopher. |
Paul of course had not trouble. |
| I love this shot of Stephanie and Mallory. | |
Here's the happy family! |
| Paul is lucky to have such nice cousins. | |
On the way home, we stopped by Salem, New
Hampshire to visit the Viau homestead. |
| Ben dug up a box of toys from the attic for Paul. Paul liked this rattle so much that Jim gave it to him. | |
Ben feeding Paul in the "clamp chair". |
| Our final stop on the way home was in Wakefield, Massachusetts to visit the Hillakers. Here's Grace with Paul. She's turning out to be a darling, despite her father's looks! (Sorry Andy) | |
| So, this was a great trip that we will surely
repeat. Thanks to Skip and Sue for their immense hospitality during our visit. |
