Miami-Whitewater Forest

During our 4 days in Cincinnati, we went to Miami-Whitewater Forest (one of our favorite places we used to go), the Newport Aquarium and attended a cookout at Dave Johnson's

Upon our arrival, we set out for MW Forest.

We brought the umbrella stroller (works as a carry-on item) which Paul seems to like OK, despite this look on his face ;-)

This field of flowers is indicative of the flora at MW Forest. It really is lovely in the Summer.

This view is near the boat house, parking lots and concession stand. On a weekend there are typically lots of people in rental boats all over this little lake.

Different angle, same position as above

On Saturday, our second day, we ventured to the Newport, Kentucky Aquarium,
but first we stopped at my brother's house (George) to introduce Paul to everyone
and bring them along!

George with Paul for the first time.

On our way! This Chrysler Town and Country
was really nice. We think we have to have one.

Baby, minivan, what's next?

Once in the aquarium,
I was delightfully surprised
at the very high quality
of the exhibits.

Each section was a perfect copy of some water ecosystem from around the globe.

Paul slept for a lot of it, but
awakened to check out the
large octopus.

I'm not sure where this was taken, but I like the shot.

Sunday finds us at Dave Johnson's house for a cookout!

Paul meeting his great grandmother
for the first time.

Most of these shots were taken by George.
Thanks!

Paul really enjoyed himself.
Well, thanks to "Brother Dave" for the party. As always, a good time was had by all!
