What's New

This one goes back to 1998 when I discovered the beaver living in Lake Kinnelon. Over a period of about 3 weeks I photographed and filmed him during the early morning hours.

Some of these go back a while, but I thought they should be included for the record.
These are all scanned from film prints that were taken by myself, my sister Laura, my brother George or other various persons.

Please correct me if I credit them incorrectly!

This is another shot taken during my morning forays onto Lake Kinnelon in search of the elusive beaver.

This shot was taken from in front of his lodge, looking back past Blueberry Island (far-right), Chapel Island (middle-right) and the North end of Lake Kinnelon (below the lowest dip in the horizon) just after dawn.

I think these are Azaleas.
Taken at Dad's in 1999

Smoke Rise gets its name from the way fog likes moving through the trees there. This is a good example, taken from our back patio.

This is either from '98 or '99.
The whitewater hull was fun but hard
to manage on the flat water of the lake.

Here's one from our 1999 Summer Vacation. We started in DC. This is from a sculpture on Race point. I forget the name, but it is of a man drowning in the ground. His head is enormous, as is the one bent knee. That's about all you see coming out of the ground, along with this hand.

This is a better scan of a picture that
can be seen on the pages from our
trip to Ocracoke Island in 1999 on
North Carolina's Outer Banks.

The new scanner does a much
better job and I just love this shot.

Here's a Polaroid of Jim Stathes and me during the network installation we did for him.

This is a great shot my brother took at the Cincinnati Zoo in 2000.

Another from the Cincinnati Zoo. This male Silverback gorilla is very lucky to have the habitat built for the gorillas at the Zoo. A lot went into it and it pays off in happier animals.

George takes some great pictures.

Here's a very early
shot of Maria with Paul.

One of the first after we got home.

Joey apparently was OK with Paul.

This is from Paul's baptism.
He's with Sara Daugherty, my
brother's daughter.

I love this shot.

And of course, Paul with Grandma Margaret!

Interestingly enough, Paul looks like my great-grandmother (mother's mother's mother) who had much Cherokee blood. You can kind-of see it in Margaret.

From just after the baptism:
Paul, parents and godparents

Take II

Laura took this one when Paul
was only with us about a week.

Here's Laura's "girls" from Summer, 2001

Paul and Daddy at Smoke Rise beach.

Hiking near Split Rock Reservoir.

Hiking in Vermont.

Daniel Rasnick on 9/8/01.
My nephew, visiting us in Smoke Rise.
