Paul at the playground with Katie

Playground, antennae and a cookout

The katydid was met with mixed reviews apparently.

OK, next activity please!

This almost makes me think of boot camp instead of a playground.

Katie makes the summit.

Sue, Rod and Katie come on Sunday mornings along with Michael, Roseanne and Genevieve typically. It's nice to have friends.

Katie is having a ball and Paul
is hanging on for dear life.

That's the way women are, son.

(Let's see how much email I get for that one!)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

...William has been building the antenna farm under the cover of...uh...actually under broad daylight. Can you see them?

From the back they are more visible. The one on the left is my 10-meter vertical and the shorter one on the right is a 2-meter/440 dual bander. Both are painted entirely flat black for discretion. Of course I am a licensed HAM and GMRS operator, but neighbors tend to have a predictably negative reaction to anything they think may impact their TV signals or neighborhood aesthetics.

So, next weekend finds us at Rod, Sue and Katie's house for a cookout. Paul's main course was however not from the grill.

Rod had his hands full.

The only picture I got of Roseanne has her face turned away! Not fair.

Here's Genevieve's dad, Michael (on the right).

Katie and Gen playing with ice and water.

Beats playing with fire!

Gen in a magnanimous moment.

Not quite sure what this was about. I think she had a chunk of ice in her mouth.

Here is our beloved Rose with her darlings.

Rod and Sue have a really nice deck on the house that is great for this sort of thing.

Rose has been a huge blessing in our kids lives.

And finally, Paul doing some ergonomic testing on Katie's chair.
